Even though the scores didn’t all go as the Mustangs hoped, they had an epic baseball week. On Monday, April 8, they traveled to Battle Mountain to complete their sweep against the Longhorns (11-4, 17-11). The Mustangs went 3-0 against their rival school.
The Pershing County High School track and field team competed in the Fernley Invitational last Friday. Angelo Gibson placed first in the 400 meters with a personal best and 800 meters.

On Saturday, the Bighorns came to Pershing County. The Fallon school kept the scores close but lost 8-6 and 5-4 in nine innings) to the top team in the 2A, the Mustangs.

It was a challenging week for the Pershing County Mustangs baseball team. The Mustangs came out on the losing end of a tripleheader against the Yerington Lions (4-0, 10-0, 11-0). They now stand ninth in the 2A at 0-10.
