Theodore Emile Vallieres appeared in Sixth Judicial District Court for a sentencing hearing on May 8. After being found guilty of conspiracy to receiving, withholding or possessing stolen property, a charge which he pleaded no contest to, Vallieres was given a suspended sentenced of 364 days in the Humboldt County jail, on the condition he complete 36 months probation.
Marcelo Rivera was sent to prison on May 1 to carry out his previous sentence of 12-34 months, after admitting to multiple probation violations in court. After some discussion regarding Rivera’s whereabouts during the duration of his probation and the violations, the court determined that his probation would be revoked and Rivera would immediately go to carry out the 12-34 months he was originally sentenced to.
On May 1, Robert Hodnett appeared for sentencing after violating the terms of his probation by being under the influence of a controlled substance, the same charge for which he was originally arrested for. At the sentencing, he was given a second chance at completing probation and the Humboldt County Drug Court program.

Marek Borowicz was sentenced to prison for a 2012 charge of failure to pay child support, and a separate charge of failure to appear after admission of bail. He was previously found guilty in a jury trial for failure to pay child support.
