In a status hearing on April 10, Joel Flores was given one more chance to pay fines from a February 2017 gross misdemeanor conviction for conspiracy to carry a concealed firearm. At a prior hearing, after serving a month in jail for not paying the fines, Flores was ordered to pay the fines, totaling $1,178 by April 6, 2018. Flores waited until the morning of his status hearing to pay $900 of the fines, stating that he waited because he was trying to get the entire amount saved up to pay it all at once and he thought they were due that day.
A young woman who was originally arrested on drug trafficking charges will have the opportunity to avoid spending time in prison if she adheres strictly to Drug Court requirements. Those requirements include regular random drug and alcohol testing, self-help meetings, counseling and paying her court assessments, probation supervision, and drug court fees. The Drug Court team also works with participants to help them advance their education, obtain housing and employment.

Cody Robert Langdon, age 33, was originally charged with a category E felony in connection with the forgery. He pleaded guilty to a reduced charge of attempted forgery by creation, alteration or deletion of data, after plea negotiations with the DA’s office.
