Neisho Martinez

Neisho Martinez, age 45, passed away unexpectedly in Lovelock, Nevada in late November of 2023. Born Neisho Lynn Martinez, to parents Susan Taylor and Percy Martinez, in Craig, Colorado, on August 7th, 1978. Neisho always seemed ready for his next adventure. He was energetic, loving, and funny. Despite several moves, which took him to Wyoming and throughout Northern Nevada, he remained a devoted Coloradan. He loved music, spicy Mexican food, great dogs, basketball, lakes, drawing and time with friends and family, but most of all he cherished his daughter, Maryana, and he recently left Fernley, NV and returned to Lovelock, NV to be near to her. Being Maryana’s dad was the role in which he experienced immeasurable pride and fulfillment. Neisho will be remembered for his authentic grin, firm handshake, and big hugs. Pedro Sandoval

Pedro Sandoval, 78, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes on November 24, 2023 in Juarez, Mexico. Pedro was born in Valle de Olivos, Chihuahua, Mexico to Juan Sandoval and Eustolia Medina on May 4, 1945. He moved to the United States 60 years ago and made Winnemucca his home for the duration of his life. He met the love of his life, Anita (Martinez), in Winnemucca and they were married on September 30, 1967. Pedro and Anita spent the next 56 years together and were blessed with 3 children, Danny, Raymond, and Glenda. Pedro was a hard worker with a strong work ethic. He was employed as a machine operator for Union Pacific Railroad for 38 years and retired in 2005. Pedro was a kind, generous, quiet, and family oriented man. Dwayne (Dewey) Longtine

Dwayne (Dewey) Longtine passed away December 7 2023 at home with family at his side. In 2003 he married Bonnie Aylesworth making their home in Winnemucca for several years before moving to Wyoming. Services will be December 12 at Ranchester Community Church. Dewey will be greatly missed by family and friends.

Earl Edward Conklin Jr.

Earl Edward Conklin Jr. was born in Oakland, California on November 1, 1928. At a young age, he moved to Owyhee, Nevada and was raised by his aunt Lucy Hull. Earl had many fond stories of his years growing up in Owyhee. After attending his elementary years at Swayne County School, he attended Sherman Indian High School, in Riverside, California. He was an accomplished athlete. His most cherished memories were running in a California State track meet, in the Los Angeles Coliseum and on another occasion, seeing the great Jim Thorpe at one of the team’s football practices. Jim Thorpe’s son Billy played in the same backfield. Earl loved to talk football and how tough they ran the Pigskin. His most cherished gifts were four Sherman yearbooks his son, John, gave him one Christmas. In July 1951, he joined the Army Air Corp. Earl was trained to be firefighter and …

8/7/1938-11/22/2023 George was a man of great integrity. He always did the right thing, even when it wasn’t popular or easy. He was a role model to our family and a mentor to many others. Those who knew and loved George knew he was a man of faith and loved the Lord with all his heart, mind, and soul. In addition to his faith, he was also a very hard worker. He always put his family first and ensured they had everything that was needed, even if it meant sacrificing his wants and needs. He was a selfless man and always put others before himself. Harold Donovan Gudmundsen

Harold Donovan Gudmundsen, 34, passed away on November 22, 2023. He was born on September 10th, 1989, in Winnemucca, Nevada to Johnna Black and Harold David Gudmundsen. He was born and raised in Winnemucca. He grew up being active in many sports but ultimately realized basketball was his passion and continued to pursue that throughout his academic career. He was a proud Lowry High School Graduate earning his advanced diploma and the Millennium scholarship to attend the University of Nevada, Reno and pursue his passion in Engineering. Throughout his life, he took great pride in the work ethic he created. He started screen printing t-shirts for Patty at the Mad Hatter at age 15 and held many jobs throughout his teenage years. Angelina Pommerening

August 2, 1945 - November 16, 2023 Angie was welcomed into heaven, greeted by her preceding siblings and family members on Thursday, November 16th. She passed away surrounded by loved ones, while fighting multiple medical issues. Her strong will to live, unwavering faith in God, and the love and prayers of family and friends, carried her through her last few hours. Angie was born in Lovelock, Nevada to Maria and Joaquin Sambrano, Angie was one of twelve siblings. Her surviving family members are numerous; but mainly include, Jan D. Pommerening, husband of 57 years, two children, five grandchildren and one great grandchild with more on the way. She will be greatly missed by her three surviving siblings, friends and unfortunately too many beloved cousins, nieces, nephews, and in-laws to list or even count. Roger Manuel Casos Bellido

Roger Manuel Casós Bellido was born on December 23, 1929, in Arequipa Perú, and passed away on November 22, 2023, in Sandy, Utah. He was the oldest of ten children born to Manuel Aristides Casós and Rosa Isabel Bellido de Casós, six of whom survived to adulthood. Roger attended San Francisco de Asís Catholic High School in Arequipa and graduated from the National Agrarian University La Molina in Lima as an Agricultural Engineer. After graduating from La Molina, he assumed operational control of the family ranch, La Hacienda Cabanillas, in Juliaca, Perú, which he managed for about 10 years. It was around this time that he converted to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, following in the footsteps of his brothers Rómulo and Rodolfo. He immigrated to the United States in 1965 to further his education, leaving his daughters Lourdes, Jenny, Roxanne, and Hilda in the tender care …

Christopher Andres Diaz was born April 14, 1998, to Rosa Campbell (Diaz) & Ricardo Guizar. He was Called to Heaven the early morning of November 3, 2023. He was a joy too so many.
