In their opening game, the Badgers beat Walker River Purple 10-7 and followed that with an 11-9 victory over Walker River White. Winnemucca suffered its first loss, a 6-2 defeat to Fernley, and was later beat 8-2 by Walker River Purple. In the third-place game, Winnemucca beat Walker River White 13-3. The Lowry High School track and field team finished up its season this past weekend at the NIAA State Track and Field Championships at Silverado High School in Las Vegas.
