Trailer Shakers won the 2023 Sandy McLinden Memorial Tournament held Oct. 28-29 at Spare Time Bowl. The Winners Inn and Winnemucca Inn helped sponsor the tournament, as 36 teams nearly 110 bowlers participated, with 96 of them from out of town.

Don’t give up on the Lowry High School boys soccer team playoff chances just yet. The Buckaroos kept themselves in the postseason hunt this past weekend with a7-0 win over White Pine and a 1-1 tie with West Wendover. Lowry improved to 4-5-2 in the Northern 3A East and 4-7-3 overall.
The Lowry High School girls soccer team continued its quest to host a home playoff match, extending its winning streak to six to improve to 14-5 overall and 12-3 in the Northern 3A East. The Lady Bucks collected four wins last week, starting on Tuesday, Oct. 10, with a forfeit victory over Battle Mountain. The Lady Longhorns canceled the remainder of their season last week.
