There will be a parents meeting for all football players in the Lowry High School auditorium on Thursday at 6 p.m.

Lady Bucks knocked out of regional tournament by host South Tahoe

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. — After turning in a second-place in the Northern 3A regular season standings, the Lowry High School softball team saw its season come to a premature ending with a 3-2 loss to host South Tahoe in nine innings at the Northern 3A Regional Championships on Friday night.

Lowry swimmers sweep Fernley in dual finale

The Lowry High School swim team closed out the regular season last Saturday in Minden with a sweep of Fernley. The boys routed the Vaqueros 124-22 and the Lady Bucks were victorious at 71-59.

Lowry comes up short in series finale

The 2017 season came to end last weekend for the Lowry High School baseball team as the Buckaroos said goodbye to 10 seniors and their coach on Saturday. Lowry took on Fernley in a three-game series, with the Vaqueros claiming three victories. Fernley won a doubleheader on Friday, May 5, 12-1 and 8-7 and a single game on Saturday, May 6, 7-2. The Buckaroos finished the year 3-21 in the Northern 3A and 3-25 overall.

Buckaroo track and field team performs well at Northern 3A Trials

The postseason in high school track and field has changed this season, with a new format of trials for Northern 3A schools.

Honoring Coach Espinola

Longtime Lowry High School baseball coach Ron Espinola was honored before Saturday’s game against Fernley. Espinola announced his retirement after 20 years with the Buckaroo baseball program. Espinola led Lowry to a number of regional and state tournaments.
