The Lowry High School and Pershing County High School wrestling teams had their trip to Spring Creek and the Kiwanis Invitational this past weekend canceled due to the storm that hit northern Nevada.

McDermitt fell to 1-1 in the Eastern 1A and 2-11 overall with a 40-36 loss to Wells on Saturday afternoon.

The PRCA Xtreme Broncs returned to Winnemucca on New Year's Ever with 30 of the best saddle bronc riders in the world. Kade Bruno, who finished third in the world in 2023, won with a ride of 86.5 points.
