After spending the first two weeks of the season on the road, the Lowry High School softball team made its home debut this past weekend. The Lady Bucks gave the home town crowd something to cheer about, sweeping Spring Creek in a three-game series by a combined total of 40-5. Lowry won the series opener on Friday 14-4 and claimed both games of the doubleheader on Saturday 15-0 and 11-1.
When the sun rose on Friday morning, the baseball field at Lowry High School looked like a new lake had been formed in northern Nevada. After hours of transforming the field, the Buckaroos were able to make their home debut this past weekend against Spring Creek.

The Winnemucca Sports Complex played host to 10 teams last weekend as the softball season kicked off with the annual Loopy Leprechaun softball tournament.
The Lowry swim team started the season strong on Saturday with a win for both the men's and women's teams against Sparks and regional qualifying times for nearly half the team.

The Lowry varsity baseball team traveled to Reno March 8 — 10 to compete against regional teams in the Mike Bearman Tournament. The event was a pre-season tournament; the official season opener is Friday, March 16 at 3 p.m. in Fernley.
