Lady Bucks split in Yerington

The Lowry High School volleyball team went to Yerington last weekend to participate in a multi-division tournament.  The Lady Bucks emerged with a 3-3 record and a lot of good experience.

Buckaroo boys start off Northern 3A action with road win at Elko

The Lowry High School boys soccer team traveled to Elko on Tuesday to take on the 0-3 Indians in their first league contest. The Buckaroos scored their first win over the Indians since 2012 by defeating them 4-3. 

Ladies Golf Club results

Terry Kracaw, Lori Mitch and Vicki Celio took home the team title as the  low gross winners (80) in the Ladies Golf Club “Rally for a Cause” scramble at the Winnemucca Municipal Golf Course.

Buckaroo runners compete at Douglas

The Lowry High School cross country team began its year this past Friday at the Douglas Class Races at Lampe Park in Minden. Each individual class (freshmen, sophomores,juniors and seniors) had their own respective race.

Lynda Walton took home the title as the overall low gross winner in the two-week Ladies Championship Golf Club Tournament at the Winnemucca Municipal Golf Course.

Lowry High School dance team prepares for new season

Lowry High School’s dance team provides entertainment and enthusiasm for the crowds at the games.  LHS dance coach Morgan Martinelli held a camp last week to get the girls in the mood. 

B&H takes home top prize in Winners Inn Shootout held at Spare Time Bowl

B&H out of Salt Lake City, Utah,  won the annual Winners Inn Shootout held this past weekend at Spare Time Bowl.  Winners Inn $3,800 provided in prize money and the tournament featured over 100 bowlers, including 93 from out of town.

LHS JV drops heartbreaker

The Lowry High School JV football team had a chance to win its game against Pahrump Valley on Friday night, but it was not meant to be. A field goal attempt by Lowry with 22 seconds left in the game was wide left, leaving them with a 22-21 loss in this non-league opener. 

National Horseshoe Pitchers Association comes to Winnemucca for second year in a row

Over $6,500 in prize money was given away last weekend to 44 competitors at the Winnemucca Event Center during the National Horseshoe Pitchers Association (NHPA) tournament. 

Lowry rallies in final seconds to beat Pahrump Valley in season opener

The Lowry High School football team thrilled its home crowd with a 41-40 come-from-behind victory over Pahrump Valley on Friday night in Winnemucca.
