DEBRA REID • The Lovelock Review-MinerNevada Highway Patrol Trooper Anthony Hollister investigates a roll-over accident that left a big-rig truck driver with minor injuries and truck, trailer and cargo parts scattered off the I-80 freeway south of Lovelock at 6:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 21. The driver was taken by ambulance to Pershing General Hospital for treatment. One southbound lane of the highway was closed as Nevada Dept. of Transportation crews cleaned up dirt and debris and remains of the truck were removed. The driver may have tried to over-correct when the truck drifted causing it to roll off the freeway, Hollister said.
CARSON CITY - The Bureau of Land Management, Carson City District, would like to remind the community to be aware of the increased chance of wildfire due to conditions resulting from a dry spring and recent warmer temperatures.
