Mary Margaret Belton, 64, of Battle Mountain, died Wednesday, July 24, 2013, after more than a year long battle with cancer. She was born Aug. 10, 1948, to Ruby and Frank Adams of Fallon and was an only child as a result of her older siblings having passed prior to her birth. She married Charles Belton on Nov. 29, 1969.
Dale L. Friday, 76, died at the Lake District Hospital on Friday, July 12, 2013. Dale was born to Gordon and Evelyn (Harrison) Friday in Porterville, Calif., on Aug. 3, 1936. He lived in Porterville until he was in the fifth grade when the family moved to Lakeview. While in high school, he moved back to California and settled in Tulare, where he met and later married Shirley Cox on Sept. 17, 1954. While in Lakeview he was a member of the Lakeview High School class of 1955.

Joyce Legarza of Winnemucca passed away of natural causes on July 26, reuniting with Ray, her beloved husband of 60 years, who passed on May 6. Joyce was born on Sept. 17, 1927 in Lovelock, Nev., to loving parents Clarence and Clara Stoker. She was the oldest sibling to sisters Dee and Janice and brother Donald. The Stoker family moved from Lovelock to Winnemucca in 1933. The following year they established Stoker's Auto Court, which consisted of a Motel and Gas Station. Even as a young girl Joyce pulled her weight in the family business and quickly established the hard-work ethic that would serve her well throughout her life.
Joel Curtis Bailes, 49, passed away in his home on the morning of Aug. 6, 2013, in Winnemucca, Nev. He was born in Seattle, Wash., on Aug. 17, 1963, to Linda and Lauren Bailes. On Aug. 27, 2005, he married Aimee Lynn Lloyd in Winnemucca, Nev.

Delbert Emery Abel was born April 12, 1983, at Humboldt General Hospital in Winnemucca, Nev., to the late Emerita Sam Crutcher and Chris Abel of McDermitt, Nev. Delbert was entered into rest on Aug. 1, 2013.
