Louis G. Barbier returned to the loving arms of his heavenly father on May 16, 2013. Louis was born to Mattie E. Fullen and Charles R. Barbier on Feb. 4, 1944. He grew up in Phoenix, Ariz., with his siblings Jacqueline Sargent (Robert), Diane Davis (James) and C.R. Barbier (Linda). Thomas Blaton (Patty) was his best friend and brother by choice.
ELKO - Dorothy S. Gallagher, a regent who represented rural Nevada for more than 28 years, has died at the age of 87.
Dr. Mark F. Kailing returned to his Heavenly home on May 21. Mark is survived by his wife, five children, his parents, siblings, in-laws, nieces and nephews and countless more family and friends. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, stepfather and several friends. Services will be held Friday, May 24, at the LDS Stake Center in Providence, Utah.
Earl Marvin Clelland, 84, passed away at the Billings Clinic on May 18, 2013 surrounded by his family.
A native of Reno he served as a police officer for the city of Sparks and then for the Washoe County Sheriff's Department. Upon retirement moved to Winnemucca. He is survived by his wife, Frances, his sister, Sandra Funkhouser of Boise Idaho, and children and grandchildren.
John passed away in Reno after a lengthy illness. He was born in Elko, Nevada to James 'Jim' Jenista and Viola Jenista, who preceded him in death. He is survived by his brother Jim, of Winnemucca, nephew, Dr. James Jenista of Scottsdale, Ariz., and niece Jana Rae Jenista of Boise, Idaho; his lifelong companion Donna Hampton of Washoe Valley, Nev.
Gertrude "Penny" Sheen passed away early Sunday morning, May 26, 2013, at the University of Utah Medical Center. Many family members counted it a privilege to be by her side as she passed from mortality into eternity.

Robert Warren, Nov. 30, 1926 - June 6, 2013, peacefully passed away in his bed at the age of 86. Robert "Bob" Warren was the father of two children, six grand, nine great and two great, great grandchildren. He loved his family and his country. He was a proud veteran of the United States Navy.
Rose I. Day passed away on June 3, 2013, at her home in Winnemucca, Nev., at the age of 94.
James Burton was born May 15, 1931. He passed away peacefully in Elko, Nev., June 4, 2013.
Michael Gordon Thompson was born Nov. 16, 1982, to Linda Salvatore and Harry Gordon Thompson. He left this life to be with our Lord on June 16, 2013. Mike grew up in Nevada and Montana during his childhood. Mike was always a motivated go-getter whether it be as a young boy catching lizards and snakes with siblings and cousins or building things with his hands. At one point as an adult he thought about pursuing architecture because he could dream up beautiful things. He also was an amazing chef. One year while working for the Hilton Garden Inn they entered the Death by Chocolate where his desserts won first place. He could write very talented poems and stories. Mike had a true passion for anything he decided to create.
Elaine J. Migge passed away Saturday, June 1, 2013, at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, Wash.
This is a last testament to a man that has lived four score and seven years. We are very lucky to have had this man in our lives as he has raised us to be honest, hard working, enjoy life and "don't talk to strangers." Just kidding, dad (dad knew no strangers).
Roland Lovern Zufelt, 80, passed away June 23, 2013, at his home in Imlay, Nev., surrounded by his loving family.
