Ron Barney served as the guest speaker. In addition to the presentation of diplomas, Saturday's ceremony included a slide show, speeches, a presentation of scholarships and a presentation of roses.

Lander County School District applies for 21st Century Grant Homework programs targeted

BATTLE MOUNTAIN - An application was recently submitted for a 21st Century Grant for the 21st Century Community Learning Centers which encompasses the After School Program, the before school homework program, the breakfast program, Friday sessions and the summer school program.

ELES students receive Newmont grant for writing project

BATTLE MOUNTAIN - Students at Eleanor Lemaire Elementary School in Battle Mountain were excited to receive three digital cameras, flash drives and a card reader to use for their writing endeavors this year.

Seniors take trip to California Trail Center

ELKO - The California Trail Center, located at the Hunter exit on this side of Elko, had its grand opening on June 2. Ten seniors from our Senior Center were able to attend this special event.
