Ron Barney served as the guest speaker. In addition to the presentation of diplomas, Saturday's ceremony included a slide show, speeches, a presentation of scholarships and a presentation of roses.
HEATHER SINGER • The Battle Mountain BugleAfter Battle Mountain High School's graduation ceremony for 75 seniors on Friday, the students gladly took part in the tradition of tossing their hats into the air. Pooja Bhakta and Bria Jones were the co-valedictorians and Lorrie Sparks the guest speaker.
BATTLE MOUNTAIN - An application was recently submitted for a 21st Century Grant for the 21st Century Community Learning Centers which encompasses the After School Program, the before school homework program, the breakfast program, Friday sessions and the summer school program.
