BATTLE MOUNTAIN - The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Battle Mountain District, Mount Lewis Field Office has issued the Final Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for the Phoenix Copper Leach Project as proposed by Newmont Mining Corporation in an Amendment to the Plan of Operations for a new copper processing plant and appurtenant facilities.

This is a type of cancer affecting the lymphatic system which is part of the immune system that works to fight against disease and infections.

BATTLE MOUNTAIN - Justice of the Peace candidate Ray Henry Williams III was arrested May 16 for the second time in three weeks. The latest arrest was for allegedly driving on a revoked driver's license for DUI.
