The Pershing County High School girls soccer went on the road against the top team in the 3A on Friday. The Elko Indians walked off with the win, adding another notch to their six-game winning streak. The Mustangs continued to Spring Creek and lost 11-0. "The Lady Mustangs thank Ashley Harvey for taking time out of the weekend to be one of our van drivers," said Coach Kelly Brooks.

It showed when they blanked Yerington 50-0 on the road this past weekend. Now the Mustangs are looking forward to their Homecoming Game against the North Tahoe Lakers (0-4) this Friday.

Pershing County lost to Yerington in five sets (16-25, 25-22, 21-25, 25-23, 21-23) last Wednesday at Pershing County High School. "I will remember this game for the rest of my coaching career," said coach Monica Halverson. "It was so much fun." On Saturday the Mustangs hosted North Tahoe and lost in four sets (25-22, 16-25, 10-25, 15-25). The girls now stand fourth in 2A at 5-7, overall, and 4-3 in the league.
Last week on the road, Mustang soccer lost to Churchill County (11-0) and Lowry (8-0). The Greenwave and Buckaroos are the second and third teams in the 3A Northern - East league.
