Midnight Madness

It’s an annual tradition. Every year the PCHS girls basketball players bring food and drinks to the high school gym while the stars twinkle in the sky. “We play some fun games and scrimmage and go home,” said Coach Lee Houston about last Saturday’s long-awaited Midnight Madness event.  “Everyone was excited to get back in the gym for some basketball. It feels like it’s been forever because last season was cancelled due to Covid.” Seventeen girls have signed up to play, according to the coach. Among them are four seniors – Kylee Fuller, Presley Burrows, Bela Rosas and Aledda Sam. Fuller, a long-distance runner, is fresh from the soccer field. Burrows, Rosas and Sam excelled at volleyball.
