BATTLE MOUNTAIN — There will be a parent meeting at the high school gym on Aug. 10 at 6:30 p.m. The meeting is for parents of students planning on playing fall sports at Battle Mountain High School. Topics to be covered will be practice times, NIAA rules and what students need n order to participate in high school sports.

BATTLE MOUNTAIN - The Battle Mountain High School junior varsity volleyball team closed out its stay at the White Pine Tournament in Ely with four consecutive wins and finished 4-2 over the two days.

Sophomore Daniel Itza threw for 258 yards and three touchdowns as Battle Mountain picked up its first win of the year, a 31-21 victory over Incline.
