The Lowry High School girls basketball team, the defending Division I-A state champions, took to the floor as a group for the first time on Wednesday night. The roster of five juniors and six seniors travel to Reno on Saturday to face Hug in a scrimmage. The Lady Bucks open the regular season slate on Thursday, Dec. 4, at the Winter Classic in Reno. Lowry will play Reno, the defending Division I state champion and Faith Lutheran in that tournament. The Buckaroos finished the year 6-3 in the Division I-A North and 7-4 overall. Lowry lost to Churchill County in the opening round of the state playoffs.
