The Lowry High School softball team remained in the hunt for the top spot in the Division I-A North with a three-game sweep at South Tahoe last weekend.The Buckaroos won a high-scoring affair on Friday 10-8 and swept the Vikings 16-1 and 14-2 in a doubleheader on Saturday to improve 11-1 in the Division I-A North and 12-4 overall.

The Humboldt County Rodeo Club was back in action last weekend at the Fallon rodeo. The club is off this weekend and has just four rodeos left in their regular season.
