The donation will help to cover costs of their annual Senior Tournament. In recent years, Winnemucca Senior Golf has given out over $4,000 to Lowry High School. Nevada to hold contest to name new female mascot

RENO - The University of Nevada, Reno cheer team and the Associated Student of the University of Nevada (ASUN) released details of a contest this week to allow community members the chance to choose the name of a new female mascot. The mascot will be the third addition to the Wolf Pack family as the younger sister of current mascot Wolfie Jr. Any person may vote in the online poll with an active email address. Voters may choose one among six names compiled by a committee of students and faculty, and each name holds some significance to the University or state of Nevada.
