LOVELOCK - Last Saturday's Fernley Invitational brought together track & field athletes from 16 schools, running the enrollment gamut from 1A Gabbs to 4A McQueen.

BATTLE MOUNTAIN - There were many powers at work this past weekend as the Lowry High School varsity softball team completed its 21-game road trip with three victories in Battle Mountain.
WINNEMUCCA - Losers, Rack Pack and Sand Lizards are the top three teams in the Winnemucca Pool League standings through 26 weeks of play.
The Denio Basketball Awards Banquet was held on March 16. The players had a great season and enjoyed ending it with an exciting game against their parents and coaches. The sixth to eighth grade team honors included MVP: Lane Johnson, Best Offense: Adam Egger, Best Defense: Estafani Barcio, Best Rebounder: Shelby Clark, Most Improved: Liam Walls and Most Inspirational: Layton Johnson. WINNEMUCCA - If you know Julia Dufurrena or Jace Billingsley they may be two of the quietest people you would run into. But the Lowry High School seniors can easily turn the switch to a different mode once they walk on the floor, wrestling mat or football field.

WINNEMUCCA - It wasn't just another doubleheader for the Lowry High School junior varsity softball team Wednesday afternoon in Winnemucca against Wells.
WINNEMUCCA - It may be nearing the end of April, but if you look at the schedule it seems the Lowry High School swim team just started its season over this past Saturday in Truckee.
The Lowry High School track and field team made its home debut on Tuesday afternoon while hosting the Tri-County Invitational. Schools from McDermitt, Battle Mountain, Pershing County and Owyhee were on hand for the meet. The Buckaroos are back on the road this weekend and will split their teams between the Carson Invitational and the Dayton Invitational. Lowry returns to Jerry Tobin Field to host its home invitational on Saturday, May 5.
