Jillian Albright is a senior at Lowry High School. She plays volleyball, basketball and track and field for the Buckaroos. Albright was a member of the 2014 Lowry girls basketball state championship team that defeated Boulder City. She is also an academic-all state athlete.

Thanks to a generous donation from Newmont Mining Corporation through their Community Reinvestment Program, the Winnemucca Youth Football League received new first-aid kits. The donation paid for all of the new kits and supplies to restock them for several seasons of football. It may not count as far as the regular season is concerned, but the Lowry High School girls golf team earned some bragging rights over its eastern Nevada counterparts.
