The Lowry High School track and field team made the trip Fallon this past Saturday for the 45th annual Fallon Elks Invitational. The Lady Bucks finished seventh as a team out 24 schools. The Lowry boys were 10th. Reed won both the boys and girls team titles.
The Lowry High School softball team continued its strong start in the Northern 3A with three more road wins this past weekend in Sparks. The Lady Bucks outscored the Railroaders 66-5 in the three-game series to improve to 6-0 in league play and 8-3 overall. Lowry won the opener of the series on Friday 25-3 and swept a doubleheader on Saturday 21-0 and 20-2.
The Lowry High School baseball team picked up its first win of the season in the series finale at Sparks this past Saturday afternoon in Northern 3A action. The Buckaroos dropped the opening game of the series on Friday afternoon 8-6 and the first game on Saturday 12-9. Lowry prevented the sweep in the finale to improve to 1-5 in league play and 1-10 overall.
The Lowry High School junior varsity baseball team hosted Spring Creek this past weekend and dropped three games to the Spartans. Spring Creek won the opening game 9-6 on Friday, March 17, and swept a doubleheader 15-6 and 17-13 on Saturday, March 18. The Buckaroos are now 2-6 overall and 0-3 in Northern 3A. Lowry is back home today (Saturday) for a doubleheader against Sparks at 11 a.m.
The Lowry High School junior varsity softball team got off to a quick start in the Northern 3A last weekend with three wins over Spring Creek. The Lady Bucks won the opener on Friday, March 17, in three innings by the NIAA 15-run mercy rule. On Saturday, March 18, Savannah Dalley earned the win as the Lady Bucks won the first game 13-3. Sierra Maestrejuan collected the win in game two on Saturday, as Lowry won 7-2 to improve to 3-0 in league play. Lowry is back at home Saturday to take on Sparks at 11 a.m. in a doubleheader.
