CARSON CITY - The Division of Public and Behavioral Health is pleased to announce improvements in the state's childhood immunization rates. The newly released 2012 National Immunization Survey shows that Nevada's immunization ranking improved from 40th in the nation to 39th for vaccine coverage in 19 - 35 month-old children.

RENO - The University of Nevada, Reno's Bureau of Mines and Geology invites the public to take part in the annual Earth Science Week to learn about local geology.
RENO - More than six million young people across the country are celebrating National 4-H Week this week, including here in Nevada where more than 40,000 youth are engaged in urban and rural 4-H Programs administered by University of Nevada Cooperative Extension in counties throughout the state.

Homecoming 2013 wrapped up Saturday night with a dance at the high school. WASHINGTON, D.C. - Shoppers are paying slightly more for food items at the grocery store compared to the first half of 2013. Higher retail prices for meat items such as boneless chicken breasts and dairy products, among other foods, resulted in a slight increase in the American Farm Bureau Federation's latest Semi-Annual Marketbasket Survey.

The funds were raised at a rummage sale, which the advisory board held in August and was greatly supported by the community. LAS VEGAS - Nevada Attorney General Catherine Cortez Masto and the attorneys general of 45 states and the District of Columbia announced that Connecticut-based Affinion, and its subsidiaries Trilegiant and Webloyalty, will pay over $30 million to settle allegations that they misled consumers.
