Robert F. "Bob" Key, Hermiston, Ore., passed away Aug. 22, 2013, at his home at the age of 80 years. Funeral services will be Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2013, at 2 p.m. at the Orovada Community Center. Memorial contributions may be made to the Orovada Community Club, P.O. Box 12, Orovada, Nev. 89425 or through the funeral home. Concluding services and interment will be in the Orovada Cemetery, Orovada, Nev.

Ronald 'Red' McKinnon - Obituary

Ronald "Red" McKinnon passed away Aug. 17, 2013, after a lengthy illness. Red was born on June 8, 1956, in Wallace, Idaho, to Richmond and Peggy (McCarver) McKinnon. Red is survived by his wife, Kathy, children, Sarah McKinnon, Courtney McKinnon, Jason McKinnon, Aaron McKinnon, Teckla (Joe) Janacaro, Brice (Jess) Reed; nine grandchildren; and sisters and brothers.

Hugh Hampton Burgess, age 66, of Reno, Nev., passed away peacefully on Aug. 25, 2013, at Saint Mary's Hospital in Reno, Nev. He succumbed to respiratory failure as a result of an eight-month battle with lung cancer.

ELKO (AP) - A colorful, longtime figure in Nevada newspaper history has died.

Richard Edward Hubbard

Richard Edward Hubbard "Hubb" passed away on Friday, Aug. 31, 2013, in Golconda, Nev. He was born in Tuba City, Ariz., on Sept. 10, 1955. He attended grade school in Hayden and Winkelman, Ariz. After the death of his dad in 1969, he along with his mother and sister, moved back to Deming, N.M. to where his family was from. Richard graduated from Deming High School.

Fannie E. McMullen Myers

Fannie E. McMullen Myers, who was a tireless worker and pioneer of Oregon and Nevada, passed away peacefully at Harmony Manor. Fannie, a longtime Winnemucca resident, was one of the last of her kind. At 97, she lived through almost a century of classical moments in American history we all should remember; i.e., the Great Depression; segregation; World Wars; Woman's Suffrage; many U.S. presidents, etc. Her life is a commemoration of American's humble pioneers.

Sean Timothy Wilson

Sean Timothy Wilson (59 years old) of Winnemucca, Nev., died Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2013, from liver failure. He was born to the late George and Lois Wilson in St. Joseph, Mo., on Sept. 10, 1953. Sean graduated from the University of Nevada with a B.S. in Natural Sciences and a Master's in Administrative Education. He married Sunah Wilson in Sparks, Nev., in 1977, and they lived together in Fort Sill, OK, before relocating to Winnemucca, Nev., in 1982.
