Dean Heller has apparently not paid attention to the mandate given the Republican Party last November; instead he has joined with the Democrats in voting down attempts to stop Obama's illegal amnesty for about 5 million aliens. Dean Heller has consistently voted with the Democratic minority on this issue (http://www.pbs.org/newshour/updates/3-possibilities-shutdown-showdown-homeland-security/). He is the only Republican to do so. He has now proven himself a true RINO (Republican in Name Only).
I live in Grass Valley, Nev., on a five acre parcel, approximately 10 miles south of Winnemucca on Alice Lane.I am writing you today to, once again, express my serious concerns regarding the serious drought and temperature conditions we have been experiencing in this hydrographic basin for a number of years.
I was wondering if anyone else in this community is having difficulty in getting assistance from the district attorney's office when requesting assistance from his office.
Congress has become an institution not to serve the people but to get re-elected. It's no longer what is good for America it's what is good for the Representative or Senator.
Hello! My name is Dominic S. I am a fifth-grader at Harlan Intermediate School in Harlan, Iowa. My class is studying the geography and history of the United States. I would appreciate if you could send me information, pictures or a souvenir of your awesome state of Nevada.
I have some serious problems with Mr. Knecht's "Commentary" in the March 13-16 edition of the Humboldt Sun.
"I wanted to let subscribers know about some wonderful programs to keep Humboldt County seniors in their homes as long as possible and free from costly institutions which they fear more than death. The programs are for seniors and transportation for adults with a disability" said Susan Haas, executive director of the Nevada Rural Counties RSVP Program, Inc. (RSVP).
I find it interesting that the Winnemucca City Council, at its meeting on Tuesday, March 10, as reported in the Humboldt Sun, made "a request to the general public to exercise water conservation measures during the extended drought."
I haven't been deer hunting since the '70s when you'd go down to the liquor store and get your license and tags. Road trip to Jarbidge with limit of two, either sex. Equipment was a .30-30 carbine or sporterized Mauser and good binoculars. Maybe it's just old age making me more soft hearted, but that seemed more sporting than today's big game hunting.
Dear Assemblyman Hansen and Sen. Gustavson:I am a retired scientist, outdoor enthusiast and Winnemucca resident who is strongly opposed to AB408.
