WINNEMUCCA - The Humboldt Development Authority is urging citizens and community leaders to participate in the first Winnemucca Futures Forum at the Winnemucca Convention Center, from 1 p.m. until 8:45 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 22.

City officials consider teen, youth center

WINNEMUCCA - City officials are working with other local entities to form a committee with the purpose of possibly developing a teen, youth and family recreation center. The consensus came following a Feb. 7 proposal by Brian Nelson, who said his vast experience in coordinating youth activities and clubs would be beneficial in creating a center in Winnemucca.

Kings River students take field trip

WINNEMUCCA - On Thursday, Feb. 2, Ed Partee with the Nevada Department of Wildlife called and invited Kings River students out to witness the ram catch and release program. The students learned many different lessons with this field trip.

Beverage Server Training to be held Feb. 28

WINNEMUCCA - The Frontier Community Coalition will be hosting a Beverage Server Training on Feb. 28 at 10 a.m. There is no cost for this training. This training is appropriate for anyone who sells or serves alcohol.

Bingo night to be held at Grass Valley Elementary School

WINNEMUCCA - Grass Valley Elementary School will host a PTA Founder's Day Bingo Night on Friday, March 2, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the GVES gym. The event will feature food, fun and fabulous prizes.
