Beverage Server Training to be held Thursday

WINNEMUCCA - Frontier Community Coalition will be hosting a Beverage Server Training on Thursday at 2 p.m. There is no cost for this training.

WINNEMUCCA - Within the last year, the sheriff of Humboldt County has enrolled his agency in an online computer program that will greatly assist his detectives with locating and recovering stolen property.

Searching the kitchen department, I discovered only products made in China. On to bed, bath and miscellaneous ... Every product made in China. An occasional Indonesia or India would have been a pleasant surprise, but no! All made in China.

Lowry Students of the Month announced

WINNEMUCCA - Hayden Jeppsen is a freshman at Lowry High School. He was nominated for Student of The Month by Mr. Newland because he always has a positive attitude and gets high scores on his exams. He sets a positive example for his peers in the classroom and out. He exhibits great self-control and received a high grade on his quarter exam.

Local pair arrested in drug-endangered children case

WINNEMUCCA - During the course of a drug-endangered children case being investigated by Detective Will Bourland of the Winnemucca Police Department, 32-year-old Carrie Strickler and 35-year-old Anthony Jimenez were arrested on Dec. 19.
