SORT, sheriff's office respond to injured ATV rider

WINNEMUCCA - The Humboldt County Communications Center received a call for help from an injured ATV rider midway up the mountains in the Water Canyon area on Monday at approximately 12:30 p.m.

Billboard in Golconda asks for information on missing man, dog

WINNEMUCCA - Officials hope a new billboard near Golconda will spur leads about a Reno man who disappeared eight months ago.

Holiday fundraiser -

Cheers Bar is happy to announce another successful year raising money for the Kidz-n-Cops program. On Thursday, Dec. 8, Cheers spokesperson Earline Dexter presented a check for $2,100 to Lt. Mike Pardovich. Cheers is having a Christmas party and raffle on Saturday, Dec. 17, at 5 p.m. Many great prizes were donated, including a Rossi Circuit Judge rifle. Raffle tickets are still available; the festivities are open to the public. All proceeds will be further donated to Kidz-n-Cops.

Local man pleads guilty to domestic battery; felony battery charge bound over to district court

Boyles came to a negotiated resolution in his case involving charges of attempt murder and battery with substantial bodily injury on Dec. 2.Boyles pled guilty to gross misdemeanor domestic battery charges and waived his preliminary hearing for one felony charge of battery with substantial bodily injury to be bound over to district court.
