USDA: Register early for FSA programs

RENO - The U.S. Department of Agriculture recommends that farmers and ranchers who plan to participate in FSA programs register in advance. Producers are encouraged to report farm records and business structure changes to a local FSA Service Center before April 15.

March students of the month

Every month at Lowry four students are selected for their excellent model they set and over the top will to work hard in their classes. One person from each grade is chosen by teachers that submit the nominees. For the month of March we have three boys and one girl chosen as delegates.

Last year, the Winnemucca Police Department came to the City Council with some high-priced requests, but Chief Eric Silva said the department "scaled it back quite a bit this year."

Sewer fund takes big budget hit for new head works station
