JACKPOT - The Nevada Highway Patrol said the preliminary investigation reveals that on Friday, Dec. 6, at approximately 5:15 p.m., a silver 2008 Mitsubishi Eclipse driven by Kenny Laroy Anderson, 39, from Spring Creek, Nev., was traveling southbound on U.S. 93. Craig Steven Hakala, 49, from Twin Falls, Idaho, was driving a red 1995 Ford Explorer northbound on U.S. 93.

WINNEMUCCA - Miguel Miramontes-Rodriguez was in Sixth Judicial District Court Nov. 26 for a pre-trial conference before his scheduled December trial on drug trafficking charges, but instead signed a plea deal which reduced the number of charges he is facing from 11 to one.
