McDermitt marks a century of cowboy competition with July 4 - 5 Ranch Rodeo

MCDERMITT - Rodeo has been almost endemic to McDermitt for the last 100 years.

First Wine Walk of the year this Saturday!

The Humboldt County Chamber of Commerce invites everyone 21 years and older to sip, stroll and shop through downtown Winnemucca during the first Wine Walk of the season! This Saturday, June 29 beginning at 4 p.m. local merchants will be serving wine and snacks to walk participants.

Chamber welcomes Stewart Title with ribbon cutting

Stewart Title, located at 810 S. Bridge St., held a grand opening ribbon cutting on June 5. BLM installs sprinklers at wild horse center to mitigate heat

RENO - In expectation of continued three-digit temperatures this week and to address public concerns, the Bureau of Land Management's Palomino Valley Center outside Reno is installing sprinklers to three of the large, outside wild horse pens and five mare/foal pens as a stop-gap measure to attempt to reduce heat levels inside the corrals.

WINNEMUCCA - Nevada counties have received their Payment in Lieu of Taxes (PILT) allocations from the federal government. This year, Humboldt County received $1,604,229 in PILT funding.

VA representative coming to Winnemucca July 10

WINNEMUCCA - The Nevada Office of Veterans Services Rural Outreach Rover program will be in Winnemucca on Wednesday, July 10. A veterans service officer will be available from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Guard Armory, 735 W. Fourth St.
