Winnemucca resident Clinton Diong, age 38, was arrested in the early morning of September 21, 2020, at approximately 2:15 a.m. after a 24-year-old woman was shot in the neck and injured while driving a vehicle in the Moon Lane area of Winnemucca.
On September 23, 2020, the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) arrested Jared Paul Bannon, age 23, on several felony charges including lewdness with a child under the age of 14.

Danny Dave Ochoa, age 26, was recently sent to serve two concurrent prison sentences of 12-34 months on drug charges after being given multiple chances at completing treatment for drug use. Ochoa pleaded guilty to two category E felony charges, one possession of a controlled substance and one unlawful use of a controlled substance, along with gross misdemeanor possession of a dangerous weapon.

Six suspects were recently arrested following a late-night armed robbery where two victims were held at gunpoint and stripped of wallets, cash and other possessions in a parking lot in Winnemucca. The incident occurred Friday, Sept. 4, at approximately 1:16 a.m. in a parking lot in the area of Great Basin Avenue and Palisade Drive, by Lowry High School.
