January 16

In the case of Harold Crawford, charged with Battery. County called two witnesses. 

The state offered 1 exhibit which was marked without objection. During testimony of second witness, defendant requested to enter a Guilty plea.

Without objection from DDA Steve Girardot, the court canvassed his plea and accepted the same and ruled as follows: Fined $1,140 to be paid in monthly payments of $50 beginning April 2, 2024.


January 17

In the case of Otila Isabell Castaneda, charged with, 1: Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor, 2: Minor in Consumption/Possession. Matter was discussed off the record. 

Due to the county’s inability to prove this case beyond a reasonable doubt, DDA Steve Girardot dismissed citation. 


January 18

In the case of James William Totten, charged with, 1: DUI – 1st Offense, 2: Possession of Firearm when Under the Influence of Alcohol. 

Defendant entered a No Contest plea to count 1, which was canvassed and accepted by the court. Pursuant to negotiation, DDA Wendy Maddox motioned to dismiss count 2. 

The defendant, along with his attorney, read and signed the DUI Admonishment and Rights form which was accepted by the court. 

The court ruled as follows: Sentenced to 30 days jail with 28 days stayed for period of 1 year on the condition he serve 2 days. Credit for time served of 2 days already served. Fined $585, to be paid in monthly payments of $50 beginning March 1, 2024. Online DUI school and victim impact panel to be completed by April 1, 2024. Breath Interlock device not ordered. Motion to dismiss count 2 accepted. 


In the case of Clinton Johnson, charged with Battery. Pursuant to negotiation, DDA Steve Girardot amended the criminal complaint to Battery.

The defendant entered a Guilty plea to the amended charge, which the court canvassed and accepted the same. 

After hearing from all parties, the court ruled as follows: Fined $1,140 with $300 converted to jail time and given credit for time served. $500 is to be suspended for a period of 1 year, the remaining $340 is to be paid in monthly payments of $50 beginning March 1, 2024. Jury demand withdrawn. 


January 24

In the case of David Roblero-Vicente, charged with, 1: DUI – 1st Offense, 2: Driving on Right Half of Roadway Required. Sentencing Hearing Held. Defendant entered a Guilty plea to the DUI and county would be dismissing count 2. 

The defendant, along with his attorney and interpreter, read and signed the DUI admonishment and waiver form. The court was presented with an alcohol evaluation. 

The court canvassed his plea and ruled as follows: Sentenced to 30 days jail time with 28 days stayed for period of 1 year on the condition he serve 2 days and was given credit for 1 day time served.

The remaining 1 day was converted to 2 days house arrest, to be completed by March 1, 2024, and he pay a fine of $585 to be paid from cash bail posted. DUI school and victim impact panel to be completed by March 1, 2024.

He was ordered to have the Breath Interlock device for a period of 185 days and was given credit for 11 days. County made motion to dismiss count 2 pursuant to plea negotiations. A review hearing is set for March 2, 2024 at 1:15 p.m.

January 14

Seth Schoonover, age 40, was arrested for, 1: Possession of Schedule 1 Controlled Substance, 2: Driving w/ Suspended Driver’s License. 3: No Vehicle Registration 4: No Insurance. Bail $6,290.


January 18

Autumn Nicole Beck, age 34, was arrested for Resisting a Public Officer. Bail $1,140.


Derick James McKinney, age 30, was arrested for Violating a TPO. Bail $3,000.


January 19

Harold Crawford, age 25, was arrested for Battery by Prisoner. Bail $15,000.


Zackary Lacey, age 25, was arrested for Battery by Prisoner. Bail $15,000.


January 22

Charlie Sheppard, age 71, was arrested for Driving on Suspended Driver’s License. Bail $355.
