The regular season for the Northern 2A girls golf season is quickly coming to an end and the league made a stop at Mountain View Golf Course in Battle Mountain on Thursday, Sept. 21.

The Lady Longhorns’ Kiana Gonzales was the low medalist on her home course with a round or 101.

She tied with White Pine’s Kylee Knudsen but won on the scorecard tiebreaker.

White Pine’s Macayla Bybee placed third with a 102 and Wells’ Tiffany Higbee (104) and Evelyn Walz (110) rounded out the top five.

Lisette Haney carded a 123 for the Lady Longhorns and Hadlee Bauer shot 134 and Jaylee Jorgensen finished with a 145.

White Pine won the team title with a 449, followed by Wells at 502 and Battle Mountain (503).

Battle Mountain travels to West Wendover on Thursday and the regular season concludes on Thursday, Oct. 5, in Wells.

The Northern 2A East Regional Championship will be held at Ruby View Golf Course in Elko on Thursday, Oct. 12.

The top three teams and top six individuals from non-qualifying teams in this tournament will advance to the NIAA Class 2A Championships. 

The sate tournament will take place Oct. 17-18 at Toiyabe Golf Club.
