Humboldt County Court Docket and Arrests for November 14th, 2023

October 23

In the case of Linda Mae Morrison, charged with DUI – 1st Offense. Defendant waived her right to council and entered a No Contest plea. 

The court canvassed her plea and accepted the same. Defendant read and signed the DUI Admonishment of Rights From which was also accepted by the court.

The court ruled as follows: Sentenced to 30 days jail time with 28 days stayed for a period of 1 year on the condition she serve 2 days, credit for time served of 1 day and sentenced to 48 hours house arrest to be completed by January 1, 2024. 

Fined $585 to be paid by cash bail forfeiture. Online DUI School and victim impact panel to be completed by January 1, 2024. Interlock device ordered for 185 days.


November 1

In the case of Lawrence Hays, charged with DUI – 1st Offense. DDA Steve Girardot motioned to dismiss this case due to the BAC being below the legal limit. 

Without objection from defense, the court accepted the motion. Case dismissed with prejudice.


In the case of Nicholas Rylan Warner, charged with Drugs Which May Not Be Introduced Into Interstate Commerce. 

The defendant has completed all conditions of the negotiated sentence, therefore this case is closed. 

November 2

In the case of John Hulsey, charged with Drawing a Deadly Weapon in a Threatening Manner. Plea agreement in abstentia was addressed and accepted by the court. 

Defendant entered a No Contest plea to the amended charge. Sentenced to 60 days jail, which will be suspended for 2 years on the condition there are no further violations of the law other than minor traffic.


In the case of Chad Michael Yowell, charged with, 1: DUI – 1st Offense, 2: Open Container, 3: Resisting a Public Officer. A completed alcohol evaluation was provided and reviewed by all parties. 

After review of the evaluation, the court ruled as follows: Sentenced to 30 days jail time with 28 days stayed for a period of 1 year on the condition he serve 2 days and given credit for 2 days time already served.

Fined $585 forensic fee to be paid in monthly payments of $50 beginning December 1, 2023. In person DUI School and victim impact panel to be completed by February 1, 2024. Breath interlock device ordered for 185 days.


In the case of Sadeler Loring Sherbondy, charged with Burglary of Motor Vehicle. After hearing from both parties the court ruled as follows: Fined $1,140 converted to jail time and given credit for time served. 

Restitution in the amount of $247.06 was ordered to be paid in full by February 1, 2024.


In the case of Corbin Lane Minyard, charged with, 1: Assault w/ a Deadly Weapon, 2: Driver Evade, Elude, or Fail to Stop on Signal of Peace Officer, Endangering Other Persons or Property, 3: Possession of a Controlled Substance. Pursuant to negotiation, DDA Steve Girardot motioned for a one time dismissal in this matter without objection from defense. The court accepted the motion.

November 3

In the case of Eric Charles Williams, charged with, 1: DUI – 1st Offense, 2: Vehicle Entering Intersection Marked Stop or Yield, 3: Driving w/out Valid Driver’s License. One exhibit was entered by the county and admitted w/out objection. Defendant entered a Guilty plea to count 1, DUI. 

He, along with his attorney, read and signed the DUI admonishment and waiver. The court canvassed his plea, accepted the same, and ruled as follows: Sentenced to 30 days jail with 28 days stayed for a period of 1 year.

 Stayed jail time on the condition he serve 2 days and was given credit for times served, and he pay fine of $585, to be paid from cash bail posted. DUI school ordered and was given credit for inpatient treatment completed. 

Victim impact panel to be completed by February 1, 2024. Breath interlock device not ordered as defendant resides out of state. The county dismissed counts 2 and 3.

October 25

Known Male Juvenile, age 10, was arrested for Domestic Battery. No Bail.

October 27

Waylon Vigil, age 34, was arrested for, 1: Battery Domestic Violence, 2: Abuse Against Elderly, 3: Ownership or Possession of Firearm by Prohibited Person. Bail $16,140.

October 28

Jason Looper Sr., age 38, was arrested for, 1: Possess Schedule I or II Controleld Substance Less Than 14 Grams, 1st of 2nd Offense, 2: Pessess MT 10oz/lt 50LB Canbs, 3: Reckless Driving w/ Disregard of Safety of person or Property – 1st Offense, 4: Accident Involving Damage, 5: Use of Possess Drug Paraphernalia, 6: Possession to Sale Schedule I or II Drugs, 7: Possess Schedule I or II Controlled Substance Less than 14 Grams – 1st Offense, 8: Simple Assault. Bail $44,450. 


Jason Looper Sr., age 38, was arrested for, 1: Possession of Sch. I or II Controlled Substance, 3: Possession of more than 1oz marijuana, 4: Driver Elude/Evade, 5: Reckless Driving, 6: Duty to Stop at Scene of Accident, 7: Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, 8: Possession of Sch. I or II Controlled Substance for Sales. Bail $28,310.

October 30

Thomas Michael DeSilva, age 20, was arrested for Sexual Assault against a Child Under 14. Bail $500,000.

November 2

Luke Hunter Kienenberger, age 20, was arrested for, 1: DUI, 2: Minor in Consumption of Alcohol. Bail $1,495.


Known Male Juvenile, was arrested for Domestic Battery. No Bail.

November 3

Known Female Juvenile, age 13, was arrested for, 1: Battery on Peace Officer, 2: Juvenile in need of Supervision. No Bail.


November 4

November 6

Stephanie Gaye Lange, age 50, was arrested for, 1: Burglary of a Structure, 2: Grand Larceny. Bail $30,000.

Jennylynn Elizabeth Dale, age 34, was arrested for, 1: Use Personal Identifying Information of Another to Avoid or Delay Prosecution, 2: Possession of Controlled Substance, 3: Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Bail $15,640.


Ryan Anthony Fisher, age 42, was arrested for Resist/Obstruct and Delay Public Officer. Bail $1,140.
