Harry Brown Jr. ( Shorty) of Austin, Nevada passed away March 7, 2023 at the age of 73.
Born on October 11, 1949 in Fallon, Nevada to Harry LeRoy Brown and Kathryn Margaret Brown.
Shorty graduated from Gabbs High School in 1967. Shortly after graduation he went into the Air Guard in Reno, Nevada.
He served for 4 years.
Shorty spent his whole life at the family ranch on old highway 50 out of Austin, Nevada. He had a passion for ranching that was evident by the love he had for his cows.
He devoted his life to the ranch. He took great care of his parents, Harry Brown, who passed away in 2020 and Katie Brown who still lives on the ranch.
He is survived by his mom Kathryn Brown of Austin, Nevada; brothers Charles (Slick) of Eastgate, Nevada; Donald (Charity) of Gabbs, Nevada; sisters Connie Barrenchea of Elko, Nevada; Linda (Dave)Robertson of Elko, Nevada; Edie (Marvin) Casey of Denio, Nevada; and Jennifer (Cliff) Killins of Winnemucca, Nevada and cousin Roy James (Shamo) Brown of Fallon, Nevada.
Shorty is preceded in death by his father.
A celebration of life will be held on the family ranch at a later date.
