UNLV football to Make CBS debut as part of National TV release

LAS VEGAS — UNLV football will appear on CBS for the first time in history and then be found on FOX networks, ESPN networks and CBS Sports Network at various points this fall as national television selections were announced in conjunction with the Mountain West and other conferences.

UNLV's game at Big Ten Conference power Michigan on September 9 will be shown by CBS with a 12:30 p.m. kickoff, marking the Rebels' first appearance on an over-the-air national network since hosting Utah on ABC in 2005.

The very next week, UNLV will host an SEC team during the regular season for the first time ever when Vanderbilt makes its Silver State debut at Allegiant Stadium in a game set for CBS Sports Network at 4 p.m. .

The Rebels' other CBS Sports Network appearance this season is a conference road date with Air Force on Nov. 18 starting at 12:30 p.m.

A pair of UNLV games will be televised by FOX networks: October 28 at Fresno State (specific network to be assigned using 12-day window) and Friday Nov. 10 at home vs. Wyoming via FS1 in what will be the Rebels' only non-Saturday date this fall.

Earlier in the schedule, UNLV's first trip since 1993 to play Conference USA member UTEP will be televised on Sept. 23 by an ESPN network to be decided using a 12-day window.

Under first-year head coach Barry Odom, the Rebels open the 2023 campaign at home vs. Bryant on Sept. 2.

Television information and kickoff time for that game and the remainder of the schedule will be announced at a later date.
