November 15

In the case of Dante Gabriel Nuncio, charged with, 1: Basic Speed Violation – 31-40 MPH Over Posted Limit – Work Zone, 2: Operate Unregistered Vehicle, Trailer, or Semi. Pursuant to negotiation and due to compliance, Count 2 was dismissed while count 1 was amended to 26 MPH over speed limit with the fine amount to remain as is. Defendant has 60 days to pay in full.


November 16

In the case of Jonathan Michael McKinney, charged with, 1: Attempted Burglary of Residence, 2: Burglary of Structure. DDA Steve Girardot stated that he has failed to contact the victim in this matter and motioned for a one time dismissal. Without objection from the defense, the court accepted the motion. Defendant is released from custody on this case in the event he is being held.


November 20

In the case of Lisa Janiece Ross, charged with Operating a Vehicle While License is Cancelled/Suspended/Revoked. 

Defendant entered a No Contest plea and set up a payment plan of $50 per month.

November 21

In the case of Lazaro Arvayo-Lopez, charged with DUI – 2nd Offense. One exhibit was admitted by the county w/out objection. 

The court ruled as follows: Sentenced to 60 days jail with 50 days stayed for a period of 2 years on the condition he serve 10 days or 19 days house arrest, as defendant was given credit for 12 hours time served, to be completed by February 21, 2024 and pay a fine of $950 to be taken from cash bail posted, DUI school and victim impact panel to be completed by February 21, 2024, online approved (Spanish). 

Defendant was ordered to have the Breath Interlock Device for a period of 24 months. Defendant was also ordered no alcohol or controlled substances unless prescribed by a physician. No further criminal activity other than minor traffic violations. A review hearing is set for February 26, 2024 at 1:15p.m.


In the case of Trase Bell, charged with DUI – 1st Offense. Sentencing hearing held. One exhibit was admitted by the county without objection. 

The court ruled as follows: Sentenced to 30 days jail with 28 days stayed for period of 1 year on the condition defendant serve 2 days or 36 hours community service, as defendant was given credit for 12 hrs time served, he is to complete by February 21, 2024 and pay a fine of $585 to be paid in full today, 11/21/23, DUI School and victim impact panel to be completed by February 21, 2-24, online approved. 

Defendant is to be follow the recommendations of the alcohol evaluation and attend outpatient counseling and AA meetings with monthly reports to the court. 

Defendant was ordered to have the Breath Interlock Device for a period of 185 days. Defendant was further ordered no alcohol or controlled substances unless prescribed by a physician. No further criminal activity other than minor traffic violations. Bail exonerated. 


In the case of Paras Chopra, charged with, 1: DUI – 1st Offense, 2: Fail to Drive of Right Half of Roadway. Sentencing hearing held. One exhibit was entered by the county without objection. The court ruled as follows: Sentenced to 30 days jail with 28 days stayed for a period of 1 year on the condition he serve 2 days, serve 36 hours community service, or 3 days house arrest, defendant was given credit for 12 hours time served. Defendant is to complete by February 21, 2024 and he is to pay a fine of $585 in monthly payments of $100, DUI School and victim impact panel to be completed by February 21, 2024, online approved. Defendant was further ordered no alcohol or controlled substance unless prescribed by a physician. No further criminal activity other than minor traffic violations. Bail exonerated. County made motion to dismiss count 2, court accepted and count 2 was dismissed in open court.


November 22

In the case of James Carl Marriott, charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle While Driver’s License is Cancelled, Suspended, or Revoked. Defendant did not call or appear. Will forfeit his cash bail posted and close case.
