Lowry High School senior Jovi Kuskie picked up two individual victories at the Bob Shaffer Classic in Truckee this past Saturday.
Kuskie ran the 800 meters in a time of 2 minutes, 35.31 seconds and she set a personal best in the 1,600 meters at 5:44.83.
Kuskie placed eight in the 200 meters with a personal-best time of 29,37 and she placed 10th in the 400 meters with a time of 66.81.
Freshman Ashlyn Botttoms was seventh in the pole vault, as she cleared the bar at 6-0. Fellow freshman Brooklyn Swensen placed 21st in the 1,600 meters at 7:20 and she set a personal best in the 800 meters to finish at 3:43.43.
Freshman Kailani Rodriguez set a personal best in the shot put to place 17h with a throw of 23-10.50 and she a personal best in the discus at 52-9.50 to place 33rd. Sophomore Isabella Bartell set a personal best in the discus with a toss of 67-11 to finish 17th and she placed 27th in the shot put a personal-best throw of 21-2.50.
On the boys side, Tyler Morrison finished fifth in the 800 meters with a time of 2:12.06 and the senior set a personal best in the 400 meters with a time of 54.18 to finish 10th.
Ivan Lara finished sixth in the 3,200 meters with a time of 11:13.75 and he was eighth in the 1,600 meters with a time of 5:02.31. Shane Gilliland placed eighth in the pole vault as he cleared the bar at 9-0 and the freshman placed 15th in the high jump at 5-0.
Corbin Berezay finished 26th in the triple jump (29-3.75 and 38th in the 400 meters with a personal-best time of 61.84. Timothy Patchen was 39th in the 100-meter dash at 12.75 and 42nd in the 200 meters with a time of 26.67 and Connor Nelson set a personal best in the 400 meters at 60.74 to place 35th.
