Items in the Court Docket are compiled from public records contained in the Union Township Justice Court and the Sixth Judicial District Court. The Humboldt Sun reports all felony hearings, misdemeanor convictions and dismissals for which the court releases information. When requested by the individual, the Sun will post the person’s mug shot with their court disposition.
Union Township Justice Court
On March 10, Mario A. Herrera pleaded not contest to driving under the influence first offense. The court ruled as follows: sentenced to 30 days jail with 28 days stayed for period of one year and credit given for time served, fined $400_+ $125 AA + $60 forensic fee, DUI school and victim impact panel to be completed. Pursuant to negotiation the additional charges of operating an unregistered motor vehicle and possession of firearm when under the influence were dismissed.
On March 14, Agatha Sandoval Arellano pleaded no contest to trespass. The court ruled as follows: credit for one day time served.
On March 17, Jacob Joseph Key pleaded guilty to the amended charge of misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance. The court ruled as follows: sentenced to 60 days house arrest with the following conditions: defendant will be allowed to attend work as normal and will be allowed to visit HGH in the event of an emergency involving himself or family. Case closed.
In a separate case Jacob Joseph Key pleaded guilty to the charge of no proof of insurance. The court ruled as follows: fined $50 + $50 AA with credit given for time served. The charges of unregistered vehicle and displaying/possessing fictitious, cancelled, revoked, suspended, or altered registration/license plate were both dismissed pursuant to negotiations.
On March 23, due to compliance the charges against Paul Stone for operate vehicle with expired registration were dismissed.
