The Lowry High School baseball team began its spring campaign with four games this past weekend at the Mike Bearman Tournament in the Reno/Sparks area.
Lowry opened the tournament with a 10-0 loss to McQueen on Friday afternoon. The Buckaroos faced Robby Snelling, an LSU commit, and the senior did not allow a hit in the game.
In the second game on Friday, Lowry took on Del Oro, Calif., and suffered a 15-0 loss.
On a cold Saturday, Lowry was back on the field at Reed High School to take Douglas and lost 14-2 to the Tigers.
In the final game of the series, Lowry grabbed a 2-0 lead against Reed in the top of the first inning, but Reed answered with six runs in the bottom of the second inning and four more in the fourth to go in front 10-2.
Lowry added a single run in the sixth inning.
The Buckaroos are back in Reno and Sparks this weekend to play Wooster on Friday at 3 p.m. and Sparks on Saturday at 11 a.m.
