Humboldt General Hospital welcomes Dr. Lee Church

WINNEMUCCA — Humboldt General Hospital would like to welcome Dr. Lee Church to the hospital team, which also includes Dr. Timothy Musick, and Dr. Stephen Perry.

Before accepting a position at Humboldt General Hospital, he served 11 years as an active-duty Air Force physician.

He was stationed at Travis Air Force Base for six years in Northern California, and Nellis Air Force Base for five years in Las Vegas, Nevada. During his time in the Air Force, he was deployed to Afghanistan and Qatar as their physician.

Growing up in a small town in Northern Minnesota, Dr. Church always looked up to their local physicians. He always aspired to be in medicine, as his mom, a nurse, encouraged him to pursue his

dream. For his undergraduate degree, he studied biology at the University of Minnesota in Duluth, and then went on to medical school at the University of Minnesota.

After medical school, he entered the Air Force where he completed his residency in Family Medicine at David Grant Medical Center at Travis Air Force Base in California. His favorite part of being a physician is making connections with his patients and their families.

He is humbled by being a part of

his patient’s challenges in life and is grateful to help them through those times.

When Dr. Church is not at the hospital, he is spending time with his wife, Breanna, and 4-year-old son, Gus. You will often find him spending his free time outdoors, fishing in his favorite watering hole.
