McDermitt boys drop pair of road games

The McDermitt High School boys basketball team wrapped up a three-game road trip to start Northern 1A East play.

McDermitt made the long trip to Owyhee this past Friday and suffered a 53-28 loss to the Braves.

Owyhee held McDermitt to single digits in the first three quarters and jumped out to a 21-5 lead in the opening eight minutes of play. The advantage increased to 35-11 at the break. The Bulldogs did out score the Braves 11-3 in the fourth quarter.

McDermitt closed out the trip on Saturday afternoon at Carlin and were knocked off 38-30 by the Railroaders. 

The Bulldogs are now 2-12 overall and 1-2 in league play.

McDermitt is scheduled to make its home debut on Thursday against Wells at 5 p.m. The game is being made up after it was postponed from its original Jan. 4 date. The Bulldogs stay at home on Friday to play Eureka at 7:30 p.m.
