Obituary: Lana Louise Myers

Lana Louise Myers peacefully passed away on December 9th, 2021. Lana is survived by her only child, Erin Acosta, grandcat, Milo, husband, Vicente Acosta, father, Ivan, sister Dodie

Adelt, brother-in-law Glen Adelt, nephews Kyle Myers and Glen Adelt II, and her cousins, Fred,Todd, and Dan Baldini and many more loved ones and close friends. 

On June 3rd in 1964, Lana was born to Anna Baldini and Charles Ivan Myers in Elko, Nevada.

She was raised for a short time in Battle Mountain, Nevada then moved to Kemmerer, Wyoming, and graduated from Kemmerer High School in 1982. 

After high school, she moved to Southern California, where she spent nearly two decades earning her education, working, and spending some of the best years of her life with her girlfriends. 

She graduated from the University of California, Irvine, earning a bachelor’s in Psychology. Lana eventually moved back to Winnemucca after becoming a mother and took charge of becoming a property owner and landlord.

Lana was the ideal Gemini woman, friendly, communicative, thoughtful, and always ready for fun. 

She loved to laugh and live, and she was incredibly hardworking, intelligent, and could do anything she set her mind to. Most of all, she was the best mother, wife, sister, aunt, friend everyone needed and cherished.

The family of Lana Myers would like to thank her caretakers, Leticia, Martha, and Blanca, wholeheartedly for their dedication, compassion, and hard work in taking care of our beautiful Lana. 

We would also like to thank her dearest friend, Anita Sandoval, for her care and support.

We would also like to thank all of Lana’s loved ones for their support, help, and love during this challenging time.

Lana will be missed so dearly, and please carry her memory in your hearts.

Lana’s memorial will be on January 6th 2022 at noon at the Battle Mountain Cemetry.
