When life gives you snow, make snowmen. That’s what dozens of Lovelock kids did during the waning days of their winter break.

Mylee and Myles Macedo wanted to surprise their dad when he got home from work, so they and their Nana, Tammy Echeverria-Montes, worked as a team. They each rolled a snowball across the yard.

“Once they had them as big as they needed they brought them by the door and put them together,” said Monty Macedo. “They used rocks from our property and borrowed sticks from the neighbors.”

But what about the nose? The Macedos had fed the last of their big carrots to their horses. “They improvised and used a small carrot,” said Macedo.” Cowboy Jack Frost” didn’t seem to mind.
