You might think it's too early to start planning, but the 9th annual Color the Mucc Fun-Run returns on Saturday, April 23 at 10am. The 3K/5k run/walk will start at the Ralph Whitworth Recreational Center.
The event, which is sponsored by the Humboldt County Chamber of Commerce and Humboldt General Hospital has no winners and no official times, instead, the color run will simply celebrate wellness, happiness and individuality as hundreds of participants are doused from head to toe in different colors at each kilometer along the route.
Proceeds from the event will fund a scholarship to a graduating Lowry Senior.
At this time, the Chamber is looking for Color Station Sponsors. It's tons of fun to toss color at the runners/walkers as they dash by.
The cost to sponsor a color station is $250 and Color Station sponsors will be given 2 T-shirts and a banner for their station to inform participants of who (what business, group or individuals) will be tossing the color at them.
