Lowry boys soccer drops four in Spring Creek

The Lowry High School boys soccer team began its 2022 campaign this past weekend at the Spring Creek tournament. The Buckaroos dropped all four of their matches in the two-day event 

Lowry opened with Southeast Career Tech from Las Vegas on Friday morning and lost 4-1 to the Roadrunners. Southeast Career Tech scored a pair of goals in each half. Lowry’s goal came in the first half of play.

In the second match on Friday, Lowry took on North Tahoe of the Northern 2A. The match went scoreless, but the Lakers won 4-3 in a shootout. North Tahoe won the 2A state championship in 2021. 

Lowry took on host Spring Creek on Saturday morning and lost 2-1 to the Spartans. The Buckaroos closed out the tournament on Saturday with a 2-0 loss to Churchill County.

Lowry (0-4) hosts South Tahoe on Friday at 3:45 p.m. and Douglas on Saturday at 11:45 a.m.
