With the high school golf season coming up quickly, Katie Cassinelli prepped for that in style, as she won the Doc Verner Memorial junior golf tournament on Wednesday, July 20, at Winnemucca Municipal Golf Course with a round of 84.
Maddux Nichols was second at 87 and Tanner Hatch (107), Kailani Rodriguez (121) and Tate Rost (135) rounded out the top five.
Laci Fentress won the girls 11-12-year-old age group with a score of 78 and Raylan Neal topped the boys standings in the 11-12-yeard-old division at 47. Conner Neal (52) and Jayden Roberson (58) were second and third, respectively.
In the boys 10 and under division, Armando Rodriguez took home first place with a round of 44. Owen Korinek and Dusty Vigil each shot 56, with Korinek earning second on the scorecard tiebreaker.
Sebastian Roman was fourth at 59 and Eli Jakich completed the top five at 59.
Jayson Milam (67), Grant Weber (69), Casen Balaam (70), Eric Marcinek (74) and Liam Kohler (81) rounded out the scores.
Emma Stickney shot a 49 to win the girls 10 and under division.
Vivian Gillihan and Amelia Plummer each shot 62 for second place with Gillihan winning on the tiebreaker.
Bryelle Weber was fourth with a round of 65, followed by Pippa Quilici (82), Rosalee Heiser (83) and Addie Enochson (85).
